The kẹkọ Story

kẹkọ serves as a valuable resource for children seeking easier learning, teachers striving to teach better, and schools aiming to make a greater impact. With the hope of one day benefitting our entire country, kẹkọ was born from three pivotal periods in my life.

Firstly, attending an American school in Ibadan, Nigeria created a disconnect between my upbringing and my education. I found myself learning about being American before my Nation, yearning for a more relatable experience. Every textbook I used and every story I read taught me how to be an American girl- in Ibadan.

Secondly, my early academic success led others to assume my path, but as time passed, I faced the struggles of learning and self-discovery, prompting a new perspective.

Lastly, My encounter with children at a Montessori school ignited a profound love for their growth and education, driving me to reshape the education system for the betterment of all.

kẹkọ meaning " To teach/ To educate' in Yoruba, embodies our mission to break free from the confines of the current education system. By bridging the gap between limited potential and boundless expansion, we pave the way for an evolving curriculum and a brighter future.
